[CINEMA] Sigourney Weaver benedice il prequel di Alien

Scifisquad.com ha recentemente pubblicato una breve intervista a Sigourney Weaver alla quale sono state poste alcune domande in ambito del discusso prequel di Alien del quale si parla in queste settimane. Di seguito una parte dell'intervista:

Do you have any interest in being part of the planned Alien prequel movie, or appearing in the franchise ever again?

Well, I don't think that Ripley could appear in an Alien prequel because she doesn't have any access to the creature until the first Alien. But Ridley (Scott) is producing it and that makes me happy. I wasn't thrilled with the whole Alien Vs. Predator thing. I never saw them, but one of the reasons I died in (Alien) 3 was to not have anything to do with those (laughs). Just because, you know, I think it just seemed so economically motivated somehow. I feel we did four good movies, and I'm content with that. I hope if they do something new, they will encompass the idea of where the alien first came from, because I think that's an interesting idea -- to find out what happened and "how did it get to us?".

Io non credo che Ripley apparirà nel prequel di Alien perchè lei non ha avuto nessun rapporto con le creature prima del primo film. C'è però da dire che il produttore pare sarà Ridley Scott, e questo mi rende felice. Non ero contenta per il progetto Alien vs Predator, non l'ho mai voluto guardare: la ragione per la quale io morivo in Alien 3 era proprio per una questione economica legata al non dover essere vincolata a film del genere (ride). Penso che uscirà un buon film comunque; spero che possa essere introdotto qualcosa di nuovo perchè sarebbe interessante sapere da dove proveniva il primo alieno e come faceva a trovarsi lì.

In conclusione vi ricordo comunque che la situazione della produzione non è ancora ben chiara: non si capisce ancora molto bene chi tra Ridley Scott, Tony Scott (il fratello) e Carl E. Rinsch, si renderà responsabile della regia del film.
